A Benton, Mo., man received minor injuries when his Jeep collided with a pickup truck on a rural Scott County road, the Missouri State Highway Patrol reported.

Michael Smith, 48, was taken by ambulance to the Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston, Mo., the patrol reported.

Smith was traveling northbound in his 1978 Jeep at the intersection of Route H and Route T near Blodgett, Mo., when a 2000 Dodge pickup driven by Benny Johnson, 49, of Sikeston pulled into his path, the patrol reported.

Johnson, who was traveling eastbound, failed to yield the right of way to Smith, the patrol reported. No citations were immediately issued, the report said.
