Anthony Hempstead will return to court Aug. 18 for his arraignment on two counts of distribution of a controlled substance. A warrant was issued for Hempstead's arrest on July 21. His arraignment was scheduled for Thursday but was continued to Aug. 18.

This past winter as a junior at Central High, Hempstead averaged 11 points and 10 rebounds per game for the boys basketball team. He was a second-team all-conference selection in the SEMO Conference.
