Progressive FCE

The Progressive FCE Club met May 30 for a progressive picnic at the home of John and Pat Stehr.

After appetizers, club members and spouses progressed to Arena Park for a cookout with Becky Heuer, Shirley Bock and Stehr as hostesses.

Dessert was served at the home of Don and Becky Heuer.

NSDAR

The John Guild Chapter, National Society, Daughters of the American Revolution met May 21 at Bent Creek Golf Club in Jackson.

Guest speaker was state regent June Lanz of St. Louis. Other guests were officers of the Nancy Hunter, NSDAR from Cape Girardeau. Emcee was Shirley Young, state corresponding secretary.

Wonderworkers FCE

The Wonderworkers FCE Club met May 15 at the home of Margie Reisenbichler with five members present.

Volunteer hours were recorded and regular business was conducted.

June Landgraf and Reisenbichler presented a program on how to melt and pour soaps.

There will be a tour of the Stars and Stripes Museum in Bloomfield on Thursday, and eat out in Dexter.

July is the club's month off so the next meeting will be in August.

Missouri Retired Teachers

The Missouri Retired Teachers Club met June 4 at Chateau Girardeau.

Doris Ford presented an informative summary of the Missouri Legislature's accomplishments for the Missouri Retired Teachers.

Mary Ann Maevers, Region 12 vice president, installed new officers for 2004. They are Gene Loftis, president; Ford, vice president; Mary Urhahn, secretary; and Evelyn McClintock, treasurer.

A summer luncheon was held in the Chateau dining room after the meeting.

The next meeting will be in September.
