Helen Margaret Brant, 90, of Scott City died Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2005, at her home. She was born Sept. 22, 1914, in Miller City, Ill., daughter of Elmore and Ollie Raines Stone. She and Ivan David Brant were married Oct. 14, 1947, in Piggott, Ark. He died April 13, 1971...

Helen Margaret Brant, 90, of Scott City died Tuesday, Aug. 16, 2005, at her home.

She was born Sept. 22, 1914, in Miller City, Ill., daughter of Elmore and Ollie Raines Stone. She and Ivan David Brant were married Oct. 14, 1947, in Piggott, Ark. He died April 13, 1971.

Mrs. Brant was a member of VFW Ladies Auxiliary Post 6407 in Scott City, American Legion Auxiliary Post 389 in Chaffee, Mo., and Country CB'ers in Chaffee.

Survivors include a son, Norman Brant of Scott City; two daughters, Mary Sue Wright and Karry Dawn Brant of Scott City; 17 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by three daughters, Rosie Hill, Delories Simmons and Alvida Nation; four brothers, two sisters and three grandchildren.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City from 10 a.m. to service time Thursday.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday at the chapel, with the Rev. Rennie Phillips officiating. Burial will be in Lightner Cemetery.
