Juanita Rose Hill, 94, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Aug. 21, 2005, at her home.

She was born Feb. 24, 1911, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Henry and Frances Scherf Hanf. She married Ray Hill, who died June 19, 1957.

Mrs. Hill had worked at International Shoe Co., and was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church.

Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Sample of Cape Girardeau; three sisters, Helen Lohmeier of Cape Girardeau, Francis Moss of Montgomery, Texas, Alberta Story of Trinity, Texas; and seven grandchildren, Leonard (Carla) Sample, Lindsay (Tina) Sample, Joyce Sample, Rose (Woody) Graham, Donna Heck, Brenda (Jerry) Pledger, and Debbie (Jeff) Rose.

She is also survived by 14 great-grandchildren, Johnny, Brian and Michael Sample, Mark Lincoln, Dwayne and Christina Graham, Becky Parris, Earl, Joe and Tiffany Heck, Sabrina and Lindsay Pledger, Jessica and Brittany Rose; and 12 great-great-grandchildren, Hunter and Lindsay Sample, Haley Lincoln, Trent, Danelle, Jasmine and Steven Graham, Daniel and Claton Parris, Olivia Pledger, Isaiah and Raelin Rose.

She was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at Lorberg Memorial Funeral Chapel from 4:30 to 8 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the chapel, with the Rev. Doug Breite officiating. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery.
