Cape doctor to lecture at conference in Austria

Dr. Ed Masters is an invited lecturer at the 10th International Conference on Lyme Borreliosis and Other Tick-Borne Diseases, to be held in Vienna, Austria, Sept. 11 to 15. The international conference, held every three years, will be attended by hundreds of researchers from dozens of countries. Masters will also be co-author on two other peer-reviewed abstracts and has previously published more than 40 scientific articles. His lecture topic is an evaluation of Missouri tick rashes compared to New York State tick rashes, and will be in the upcoming Oct. 1 issue of Clinical Infectious Diseases, which is the journal of the Infectious Diseases Society of America. Masters' office is at 8 Doctor's Park in Cape Girardeau.

Dan Wiethop has joined the real estate team at RE/MAX Achievers in Cape Girardeau. Wiethop has been in real estate for 14 years. He is a member of the Cape Girardeau Board of Realtors, Cape Girardeau County Multiple Listing Service, Missouri Association of Realtors and the National Association of Realtors. RE/MAX International, based in Denver, oversees a network of independently owned and operated offices.
