Millie Meyer

Millie Meyer, 85, of Cape Girardeau died Sunday, Sept. 18, 2005, at her home.

She was born June 17, 1920, in New Madrid, Mo., daughter of Henry and Elnora Jones Rone. She and Carl G. Meyer were married Feb. 18, 1945, in Boston, Mass. He preceded her in death Sept. 4, 2000.

Millie was a member of Centenary United Methodist Church. She was an avid golfer and enjoyed playing cards and taking trips.

She is survived by a son, Steve Meyer and wife Cathy of St. Louis; a sister, Lila Hill of Memphis, Tenn.; two grandchildren, Dana and Andy Meyer of St. Louis.

She was preceded in death by a brother and a sister.

Friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. James Sanderson officiating. Entombment will be in Cape County Memorial Park Mausoleum.
