MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Arthur L. Davis, 80, of Marble Hill died Sunday, Sept. 18, 2005, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born April 8, 1925, in Centerville, N.Y., son of Elbert and Vera Leming Davis. He and Norma Mallion were married June 28, 1952.

Davis was a production worker at Abbott Labs. He was a member of Marble Hill Bible Chapel.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Paul Davis of Mercury, France; a brother, Alfred Davis of Rushford, N.Y.; a sister, Laura Weyant of New York, N.Y.; five grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a brother and two sisters.

Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill from 12:30 p.m. to service time Thursday.

The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with Dr. John Englehart officiating. Burial will be in El Nathan Cemetery at Marble Hill.
