Dinner to benefit victims of Hurricane Katrina

An all-you-can-eat chicken and fish fry will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Scott City Knights of Columbus Hall.

Harvest festival planned at Reagan's Chapel

The annual harvest festival at Reagan's Chapel will be held from 3 to 6:15 p.m. Saturday with a kettle beef, chicken and dumplings and fried chicken dinner offered. An auction of quilts, handmade items and produce begins at 7 p.m. Those planning to attend should go three miles north of Patton Junction on Highway 51 to NN.

Church supper served at Immanuel Lutheran

The Immanuel Lutheran Church will serve supper beginning at 4 p.m. Sunday at the church at 496 Route F, Jackson. Menu includes kettle beef, ham, chicken and dumplings. A country store and carryouts are available. Children under 6 eat for free.

Kettle beef, ham dinner at Cape Senior Center

An all-you-can-eat, family-style dinner will be served from 11 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Oct. 9 at the Cape Senior Center at 921 N. Clark. Leo Kohlfeld will provide kettle beef; carryouts will be available. Menu includes kettle beef, mashed potatoes, slaw, ham, green beans, dessert and drink. Proceeds will benefit the building fund.
