Monticello House offering Medicare drug seminar

The Monticello House is offering an educational seminar on the pharmacy provisions of the Medicare program that take effect Jan. 1. The free hourlong seminar is open to the public. It begins at 6:30 p.m. Nov. 1. Medicare will begin Jan. 1 to provide prescription drug coverage for all people with Medicare. All Medicaid beneficiaries who are eligible to receive benefits through both Medicare and Medicaid must enroll in a plan. If they haven't done so by Dec. 31, Medicare will enroll them in a plan to make sure they don't miss a day of coverage. Those planning to attend should call 243-8989 no later than 5 p.m. today.
