ST. LOUIS -- St. Louis Rams offensive lineman Blaine Saipaia, who missed the last two games with a concussion, was placed on injured reserve Wednesday.

The team also expects to place cornerback Terry Fair on injured reserve today with a recurring neck injury.

The Rams filled holes on their roster by signing linebacker Jeremy Loyd and cornerback Dwight Anderson, both of whom were with the team in training camp. Loyd was one of final cuts, and Anderson was cut after violating team rules.

"They know the system, they know the locker room, they know what's required of them, so it's really good to have them back," Rams coach Joe Vitt said.

Saipaia was inactive two weeks ago and dressed in an emergency capacity for last week's loss to the Redskins. Saipaia started three games, two at right tackle and one at tight end.
