The Central High School Student Senate would like to correct some misleading information presented in the Dec. 3 article regarding housing for our state convention.

The state convention is March 9-11. Host families are responsible for providing a place for students to sleep (not necessarily beds) only on the nights of Thursday, March 9, and Friday, March 10. Host families must house at least two students but may keep as many as they wish. All dinners are provided by the convention. Host families are only responsible for two breakfasts and transportation.

Hosting this convention is both a great honor and a great responsibility that would not be possible without the full support of our community. Host homes are always the only means to make the students' stay possible, even at the national level, so we desperately need your help. These delegates are some of the best and the brightest young leaders representing their high schools from all over Missouri, and we think you will enjoy getting to know them.

We have no doubt that, with your support, we will be able to host the best state convention Missouri has ever seen. Thank you for your generosity.

CATHERINE MORETON, State Convention Housing Chair, Central High School Senate, Cape Girardeau
