On Thursday, Dec. 15, 2005, our Lord God gave Margaret wings and she flew to heaven.

Margaret was born Oct. 21, 1945, in Cape Girardeau, to Thelma Boone-Chamberlain and Jess Chamberlain. She was married to Lowell Gaylord Spane May 21, 1964, in Chaffee, Mo.

She bore three wonderful children, Lowell Gaylord Spane II, Jamie Rebecca Spane-Vetter, and Melissa Marie Spane-Hamilton (husband Herschel).

Her legacy is also carried on by three glorious grandchildren, Ashley Renee Vetter, Benjamin George Vetter, and Alexander Lewis Hamilton.

Margaret loved her family dearly, they were the center of her life. Margaret also enjoyed scrapbooking, antiquing, and going to garage sales with her family and friends.

In Margaret's younger years she worked as a nurse aide at the old St. Francis Hospital. She also worked at Thorngate Ltd. in Chaffee 19 years. She left Thorngate to help her husband with the family advertising business which still exists today.

Margaret was a devout Christian and her church family played a tremendously important part of her life. She was a member of Chaffee General Baptist Church and in the last five years she attended Lake Girardeau Assembly of God. She taught Sunday school many years, but her greatest joy came out of teaching the youth at Lake Girardeau Assembly of God.

Many young lives were forever changed by her great love, compassion and understanding that the Lord gifted to her. This was made the most apparent to her family in her final hours as the youth came to show their tears, love and support.

Margaret is also survived by a sister of Oquawka, Ill., Reba Joan Weinreich; a brother of Perryville, Mo., Sonny Joe Chamberlain (wife Debbie); two nephews and three nieces.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three siblings, and a child.

Visitation will be after 4 p.m. today at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Chaffee.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at the chapel. The Rev. Stan Hargis will officiate. Burial will be in Lorimier Cemetery in Cape Girardeau.

Margaret's family invites everyone to celebrate her life and to rejoice that she will forever be in peace with her heavenly Father.
