PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Ada L. Ochs, 96, of Perryville, Mo., died Saturday, Dec. 17, 2005, at Perry County Memorial Hospital. She was born March 11, 1909, in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisc., daughter of the Rev. William and Emma (Maack) Gieselman. She and Henry G. Ochs were married Nov. 17, 1929, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 26, 1988...

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Ada L. Ochs, 96, of Perryville, Mo., died Saturday, Dec. 17, 2005, at Perry County Memorial Hospital.

She was born March 11, 1909, in Wisconsin Rapids, Wisc., daughter of the Rev. William and Emma (Maack) Gieselman. She and Henry G. Ochs were married Nov. 17, 1929, and he preceded her in death on Feb. 26, 1988.

Ochs was past assistant vice president of Perry County Savings, working there for over 25 years. She was a member of the Immanuel Lutheran Church, the Concordia Ladies Aid, LWML, the Mid-Week Communion Service and was former church financial teller. She started the food pantry at Immanuel Lutheran and was an avid fisherwoman, bridge and pinochle player.

Survivors include a daughter, Barbara (Harlo) Rubach of Perryville, Mo.; a sister, Marie Klimek of St. Louis, Mo.; three grandchildren, Karen (Edward) Buchheit, Kenton (Cynthia) Rubach and Kathleen (Todd) Hite; seven great-grandchildren, Corey (Michael-Ann) Buchheit, Hayley Buchheit, Wesley Buchheit, Kaleb and Clayton Rubach and Kolby and Kallie Hite.

She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Paul and Herbert Gieselman; and three sisters, Olga Jeude, Esther Steinbach and Erna Steinbach.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Chapel in Perryville, Mo., from 4 to 9 p.m. Monday and from 6:30 to 8:30 a.m. Tuesday.

Funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at Immanuel Lutheran Church. The Rev. Christopher Cole will officiate, with burial in the church cemetery.

Memorials are suggested to the Immanuel Debt Reduction, the Immanuel Lutheran School or the Friedenberg Historical Society.
