Dana Nicole Essner and Philip Ryan Spinks exchanged vows Sept. 17, 2005, at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Kelso, Mo. The Rev. Oliver Clavin performed the ceremony. Reader was Brenda Fisher of Scott City, cousin of the bride. Eucharistic ministers were Ed and Georgia Schaefer, uncle and aunt of the bride, and servers were Stephanie and Eric Essner, cousins of the bride, all of Scott City.

Organist was Betty Ressel of Scott City. Vocalists were Walter Seyer of Scott City; Whittnie Essner of Cape Girardeau, sister-in-law of the bride; Angela and Corey Gray, and Jennifer Smith, all of Patterson, Mo., and cousins of the bride.

The bride is the daughter of Steve and Donna Essner of Scott City. The groom is the son of Gary Spinks of Scott City and Phyllis Crump of Cape Girardeau.

Matron of honor was Tiffany Keller of Scott City, and bridesmaids were Jennifer Welch of Springfield, Ill., and Julie Haesemeier of Independence, Mo.

Kevin Westrich of Scott City was best man. Groomsmen were Blake Heuring of Cape Girardeau, cousin of the groom, and Ryan Blattel of Scott City. Ushers were Garett Spinks of Scott City and Adam Spinks of Cape Girardeau, brothers of the groom, and Jared Essner of Cape Girardeau, brother of the bride.

Candlelighters were Emily Essner of Scott City and Angela Gray, cousins of the bride. Honorary candlelighter was Rachel Spinks, sister of the groom, serving with the U.S. Navy in Lemoore, Calif.

Denae and Mallory Reddick, cousins of the bride, attended the guest book.

The reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Scott City. Hostesses were Janice Gray, Debra Reddick, Whittnie Essner, Jennifer Smith, Cindy Riggs and Jill Essner, all members of the bride's family.

The groom's father hosted the rehearsal dinner Sept. 16 at his home.

Mrs. Spinks is a 2002 graduate of Scott City High School, and received a bachelor of science degree in health management from Southeast Missouri State University in 2005. She is a national sales coordinator with Drury Hotels in St. Louis.

The groom is a 2002 graduate of Scott City High School and received an associate of science in applied electronics from Mineral Area College in 2004. He is employed by Union Pacific Railroad in Dupo, Ill.

After a wedding trip to Myrtle Beach, S.C., the couple is residing in St. Louis.
