Felicia Janette Ford and John Sherrill Bailey were married May 28, 2005, at Washington Metropolitan AME Church in St. Louis. Melvin Benford performed the ceremony.

Parents of the couple are Freddie and Angela Ford of Cape Girardeau, and Paul and Deborah Bailey of Mason, Mich.

Matron of honor was Phyllis Childs of Olathe, Kan. Bridesmaids were Sejal Ohja of San Francisco, Calif., Susan Whitaker of Lansing, Mich., Mori Hall of Washington, D.C., and Chrystal Edwards of Chicago, cousin of the bride.

Eric Witt of Lansing was best man. Groomsmen were Patrick Curry of Chicago, Colin Moriarty of Lansing, Jeff Ford of Jackson, and Mark Johnston of Lansing. Ushers were John Olle of Carrollton, Ga., and Josh Brower of Arnold, Mo.

Candlelighters were mothers of the bride and groom.

Flower girls were Livian Ford, Amimah Saffold and Persia Ford, nieces of the bride. Ringbearer was Devyn Ford, nephew of the bride. Livian and Devyn are children of Francine Ford, Amimah is the daughter of Michaela Saffold, both of Cape Girardeau, and Persia is the daughter of Jeffrey Ford and Mary Sebastian of Jackson.

The reception was held at Holiday Inn Select in St. Louis.

The bride and groom hosted the rehearsal dinner May 27 at the Holiday Inn Select.

Mrs. Bailey is a 1992 graduate of Central High School, received a bachelor of arts degree in political science from Murray State University, and a juris doctorate from Thomas M. Cooley Law School. She is an attorney with Dubail Judge, P.C. in St. Louis.

The groom is plant investigator with Sedgwick CMS GM Workers Compensation.

The couple is residing in St. Louis.
