ST. LOUIS -- Mike Knuble and R.J. Umberger each scored twice, and the Philadelphia Flyers peppered rookie goaltender Jason Bacashihua and the last-place St. Louis Blues in a 5-2 victory Saturday night.

After Patrick Lalime was waived Monday and backup Curtis Sanford was injured four days later, the 23-year-old Bacashihua made his first career start. The Flyers beat Bacashihua on three of their first nine shots in the second period to break the game open.

Aaron Downey and Scott Young had goals for the Blues.
