Toni Joann "Susie Minner" Stanton, 59, of Cape Girardeau, died Saturday, Dec. 17, 2005, at her residence in Cape Girardeau.

She was born on Jan. 4, 1946, in St. Louis, Mo., daughter of William T. and Marie L. Reagan Minner Sr.

Stanton was a member of Covenant Christian Center in Fruitland and was employed by Quality Inn in St. Louis for 17 years. She was a cook on the river for 10 years.

A foster mother for 12 years and was a caring and loving person through her entire life.

She is survived by two sons, Shannon R. Mungle Sr. and wife, Patty, and Terry "Glenn" Stanton, all of Cape Girardeau; four sisters, Mary Crigger and husband, Gary, of Cape Girardeau, Terry King and husband, Bob, Martha Robertson and Jackie Woods, all of Jackson; four brothers, Richard Minner and wife, Patty, of Scott City, Ike Minner and wife, Kim, Robin Minner and wife, Robin, all of Cape Girardeau, and Patrick Minner and wife, Tina, of Oak Ridge; five grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren and special family members, William Thomas Minner III and Rebecca Diane Conway.

She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, William T. Minner Jr.

Friends may call from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Ford and Sons Sprigg St. Funeral Home.

Funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Ford and Sons Sprigg St. Funeral Home with the Rev. Terry Culbertson officiating and Patrick Minner Jr. will do eulogy. Burial will be at Russell Heights Cemetery in Jackson.
