PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Perry Andrew Statler, 90, of Sedgewickville, Mo., died Sunday, Dec. 18, 2005, at Perry County Nursing Home in Perryville. He was born Feb. 9, 1915, at Patton, Mo., son of Andrew Jefferson and Verna Gay Grindstaff Statler. He and Pearl Hester Lix were married Nov. 27, 1947...

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Perry Andrew Statler, 90, of Sedgewickville, Mo., died Sunday, Dec. 18, 2005, at Perry County Nursing Home in Perryville.

He was born Feb. 9, 1915, at Patton, Mo., son of Andrew Jefferson and Verna Gay Grindstaff Statler. He and Pearl Hester Lix were married Nov. 27, 1947.

Statler had been a farmer and mail carrier. He was a member of Whitewater Presbyterian Church.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; a son, James Statler of Perryville; a daughter, Glenda Isreal of Sedgewickville; a brother, Glenn Statler of Jackson; a sister, Grace Osburn of Patton; four grandchildren; and a great-granddaughter.

He was preceded in death by two brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Patton from 4 to 8 p.m. today.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Donald Blaylock officiating. Burial will be in Sedgewickville/ Lixville Lutheran Cemetery at Lixville, with full military honors by Missouri Honors Team.
