Mildred Werner

Mildred I. Werner, 94, of Cape Girardeau died Monday, Dec. 19, 2005, at the Lutheran Home.

She was born April 20, 1911, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of William and Elizabeth Busch Klaproth. She and Erich M. Werner were married Sept. 7, 1947, in Cape Girardeau. He died June 7, 1977.

Werner was a 1930 graduate of Central High School. She was employed 44 years at Southwestern Bell, retiring Aug. 30, 1974.

She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and its Ladies Aid, and former member of Telephone Pioneers, VFW Auxiliary Post 3838, and Hello Dollies Club.

Survivors include nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call at Ford and Sons Mount Auburn Funeral Home from 10 a.m. to service time Thursday.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Douglas C. Breite officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park.
