ANNA, Ill. -- Kenneth W. Holshouser, 63, of Anna died Tuesday, Dec. 20, 2005, on arrival at Union County Hospital.
He was born March 20, 1942, in McClure, Ill., son of William Albert and Alberta Kaufman Holshouser. He and Joyce Ann Turner were married Feb. 4, 1962, in Johnson County, Ill.
Holshouser was a hunter safety instructor with the state of Illinois more than 23 years. He was a member of First Baptist Church in Jonesboro and its Fellowship Sunday School Class, Masonic Lodge 111 AF&AM, and Labor Local 1440.
Survivors include his wife; three sons, Michael, Greg and Jeffery Holshouser, all of Anna; a daughter, Kimberly Smithey of Anna; four sisters, Jerri Forehand, Ruth Orick and Doris Snell of Thebes, Ill., Barbara Verble of Wolf Lake, Ill.; four brothers, Lloyd Holshouser of Anna, Lennis Holshouser of Savannah, Ga., Douglas Holshouser of Lesterville, Mo., David Holshouser of Perryville, Mo.; 11 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.
He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant sister.
Friends may call at First Baptist Church in Jonesboro from 4 p.m. until service time today.
The funeral will be at 7:30 p.m. today at the church, with the Revs. Joe Aldridge and Mark Kirk officiating.
