PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Vincent F. "Vince" Jannin, 86, of Perryville died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2005, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Vincent F. "Vince" Jannin, 86, of Perryville died Wednesday, Dec. 21, 2005, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born March 31, 1919, in Perry County, Mo., son of Marcellus and Mary Siefert Jannin. He and Lucille Gibbar were married Dec. 30, 1941, at Silver Lake, Mo.

Jannin had owned and operated Perryville Heating and Cooling. He was a member of St. Rose of Lima Catholic Church at Silver Lake and member of the American Legion and VFW.

He served in New Guinea with the U.S. Army during World War II.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Gary Jannin of O'Fallon, Mo., Darrell Jannin of Perryville; three daughters, Wanda Courtois and Brenda Winkler of Perryville, Barbara Ochs of St. Louis; a brother, Lester Jannin of Perryville; a sister, Gladys Gibbar of Perryville; 16 grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by a son, an infant daughter, a grandson, four brothers and five sisters.

Friends may call at Miller Family Funeral Home from 5 to 9 p.m. today, and Saturday from 6:30 to 9:30 a.m. The parish wake will be at 7 tonight, and the rosary will be recited at 9 a.m. Saturday.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Rose of Lima Church, with the Revs. Kevin Fausz and Alphonse Hoernig officiating. Military honors will be conducted by VFW Post 4282.
