Jeff Horner returned from a knee injury with 17 points and six assists and Adam Haluska hit four 3-pointers and also scored 17 points in a long-range game that helped visiting Iowa beat St. Louis 60-50 on Friday night.

Iowa (11-3) was 10-for-19 from 3-point range, much better than its overall 42.9 percent accuracy, in its final tuneup before Big Ten conference play. The Hawkeyes entered the game at only 29.5 percent for the season but also were 7-for-16 in their last game against Robert Morris.

Haluska was 4-for-6 and Horner, who missed four games with a partially torn ligament in his left knee, went 3-for-6. Haluska is 14-for-30 from 3-point range the last four games.

Ian Vouyoukas had 17 points and 12 rebounds for his fourth double-double of the season and added three blocks for St. Louis. Tommie Liddell added 12 points and eight rebounds for the Billikens, who have alternated wins and losses throughout the season.

St. Louis (6-6) was held to 36 percent shooting and was 12-for-20 at the line, two nights after going 33-for-45 against Chicago State.

Cameron Bennerman led five players in double figures with 17 points, Cedric Simmons got his second career double-double and the Wolfpack gave George Washington its first loss of the season.

Simmons had 14 points, 10 rebounds and four blocks for N.C. State (11-1).
