PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Albin J. Sauer, 79, of Perryville died Thursday, Dec. 29, 2005, at his home. He was born Jan. 12, 1926, in Perry County, son of Otto Frank and Caroline Welker Sauer. PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Albin J. Sauer, 79, of Perryville died Thursday, Dec. 29, 2005, at his home.

He was born Jan. 12, 1926, in Perry County, son of Otto Frank and Caroline Welker Sauer.

Sauer was a farmer. He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church at Apple Creek, Mo., Knights of Columbus Council 1263, and VFW Post 4282.

He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II.

Survivors include a brother, Bernard Sauer of Festus, Mo.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.

Friends may call at Young and Sons Funeral Home from 5 to 9 p.m. Sunday, and 6:30 to 9:15 a.m. Monday. The parish wake will be at 7 p.m. Sunday.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday at St. Joseph Church, with the Rev. Tony Dattilo officiating. Burial will be in St. Michael Cemetery at Apple Creek.
