Virginia Lee Grueneberg, 68, of Florissant, Mo., died Tuesday, Jan. 24, 2006, at her home.

She was born Aug. 26, 1937, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of Willard and Inez Hickam Nichols.

Grueneberg had been a bookkeeper. She lived in Cape Girardeau 19 years.

Survivors include four sons, Donald Grueneberg of Fieldon, Ill., Bradford Grueneberg of St. Charles, Mo., Richard Grueneberg of Lancaster, Calif., Mark Grueneberg of St. Louis; a daughter, Terri Skinner of Florissant; a brother, Steve Allen of Barnhart, Mo.; 10 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

A service will be held at 5 p.m. Sunday at Hutchens Mortuary in Florissant, with the hospice chaplain officiating.
