JONESBORO, Ill.-- Glenn "Dutch" Brown, 89, of Jonesboro died Sunday, Feb. 19, 2006, at Jonesboro Health Care. He was born Aug. 30, 1916, son of Clovis and Estella Goodman Brown. He and Lucille Slicker were married Dec. 12, 1937, in Benton, Ky. She died May 26, 1981...

JONESBORO, Ill.-- Glenn "Dutch" Brown, 89, of Jonesboro died Sunday, Feb. 19, 2006, at Jonesboro Health Care.

He was born Aug. 30, 1916, son of Clovis and Estella Goodman Brown. He and Lucille Slicker were married Dec. 12, 1937, in Benton, Ky. She died May 26, 1981.

Brown was a bridge builder more than 32 years with Illinois Central Railroad.

Survivors include a son, Jim Brown of Jonesboro; a sister, Christine Nickles of Anna, Ill.; two brothers, Ray Brown of St. Louis, Jess Brown of Anna; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Friends may call at Hileman Funeral Home from 10:30 a.m. to service time Wednesday.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Joe Aldridge officiating. Burial will be in Jonesboro Cemetery.
