Roy Brown

PERRYVILLE, Mo. -- Roy S. Brown, 74, of Perryville died Monday, March 6, 2006, at his home.

He was born Nov. 2, 1931, at Eminence, Mo., son of Robert and Effie Herrin Brown. He and Eva J. Montgomery were married Dec. 4, 1954, in Illinois.

Brown retired as a molder from Exide Foundry in St. Louis. He was a member of Molders Local 182.

He served with the U.S. Army during the Korean War.

Survivors include his wife; six daughters, Karen Liles of Festus, Mo., Sherry Castile of Barnhart, Mo., Denise Boesing of Cedar Hill, Mo., Carol Mason of Perryville, Brenda Reed of Hillsboro, Mo., Donna Lyeki of Imperial, Mo.; a son, Roy Brown of Perryville; 20 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, seven sisters, a grandchild and a great-grandchild.

Friends may call at Miller Family Funeral Home from 5 to 8 p.m. today, and Wednesday from 6:30 a.m. until time of service.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Alan Martin officiating. Burial will be in Whitewater Christian Cemetery in Perry County, with military honors courtesy of American Legion Post 133.
