Chaffee pitchers Alex Orr and Adam Uhrhan teamed up to throw a one-hitter Wednesday as the Red Devils pounded visiting Delta 11-0 in five innings in high school baseball.

Orr pitched the first four innings and struck out nine batters before being replaced by Uhrhan, who struck out the side in the fifth.

"Alex has been throwing really good," Chaffee coach Brian Horrell said. "He had a great outing."

Andy Hendrix, Michael Lee and Steven Dooley had two hits apiece for Chaffee (2-5). Lee and Chris Hanback each hit a home run.

Notre Dame scored four unanswered runs in the last three innings to claim a win on the road.

The Bulldogs (7-3) trailed 3-0 after three innings.

Shane Menz, Luke Moll and Jacob Valleroy had two hits apiece for Notre Dame.

Freshman Dylan Drury earned the win on the mound.

Sophomore Ryan Modglin dominated on the mound, as Scott City picked up its first win of the season and handed host Oran its first loss.

Modglin struck out 13 and allowed just one hit, a first-inning single by Kody Campbell. Modglin walked eight.

The Rams (1-3) had 11 hits, including a home run by Andy Stephens. Matt Backfish, Josh Henson and Curtis Hall had two hits apiece.

Oran fell to 5-1.

Perryville picked up its first victory by routing city rival St. Vincent in five innings.

The host Pirates (1-5) had 16 hits, with Lance Roth and Waylon Sparkman both going 3-for-3. John Hecht, Michael Ochs and Ryan Mueller all added two hits.

Ryan Lorenz allowed four hits in going the distance. He struck out two and walked none.

Cody Bailey led the Cubs (3-0) with three hits and three RBI. Nick Niemczyk and Clay Dover also had three hits each, and Melvin Johnson added two.

Chris Wright won his first game on the mound for Bell City.

Brandon Holzum shot a team-best 43 for Notre Dame in a loss at the Sikeston Country Club.

Brett Slaten and Austin Gelscheimer each shot 45 for the Bulldogs, and Austin Hunter shot a 49.

Sikeston's Dakota Trevino was medalist with a 4-over 39.

Chelsea Dale had two goals and an assist for host Jackson.
