MARBLE HILL, Mo. -- Kelly W. Ward, 64, of Marble Hill died Thursday, July 17, 2003, at his home.

He was born July 17, 1939, in St. Louis, son of Jerald and Virginia Pickett Ward. He and Eva Swift Warntz were married April 8, 1979, in Waterford, Mich.

Ward retired from Grand Trunk Rail Lines in Pontiac, Mich., and was a weather watcher for KFVS-TV in Marble Hill.

He served in the U.S. Navy.

Ward was a member of Orion Masonic Lodge 46 in Lake Orion, Mich., Northern Cherokee Nation of the Old Louisiana Territory, and the National Rifle Association.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Linda Bowden of El Cajon, Calif.; two stepsons, James Warntz of Davisburg, Mich., Edward Warntz of Waterford; a stepdaughter, Jayne Landry of Ortonville, Mich.; his mother of Idaho; three half sisters, Glenda Ellis of Idaho, Darlene Walter of Michigan, Brenda Riley of Tempe, Ariz.; three grandchildren; a great-grandchild; and five stepgrandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his father.

Friends may call at Liley Funeral Home in Marble Hill from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Monday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Fred Ritter officiating. Burial will be in Bollinger County Memorial Park Cemetery, with full military honors by Missouri Military Honor Guard.
