Veta Haynes, 89, of Overland, Mo., died Friday, April 14, 2006, at Bentley Extended Care in Overland. She was born Aug. 28, 1916, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of James and Della Martin Wright. She married Richard Haynes, who preceded her in death. Survivors include three sisters, Madge Sample and Shirley Thomas of Cape Girardeau, Phyllis Conyers of Overland; and two brothers, Bob and Bill Wright of Cape Girardeau...

Veta Haynes, 89, of Overland, Mo., died Friday, April 14, 2006, at Bentley Extended Care in Overland.

She was born Aug. 28, 1916, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of James and Della Martin Wright. She married Richard Haynes, who preceded her in death.

Survivors include three sisters, Madge Sample and Shirley Thomas of Cape Girardeau, Phyllis Conyers of Overland; and two brothers, Bob and Bill Wright of Cape Girardeau.

She was preceded in death by four sisters and five brothers.

Friends may call at Glad Tidings Assembly of God Church in Vinita Park, Mo., from 9 to 10 a.m. Tuesday.

The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.

Ortmann Funeral Home in Overland is in charge of arrangements.
