KELSO, Mo. -- Leroy Lawrence Reinagel, 80, of Kelso died early Friday morning, April 14, 2006, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau. KELSO, Mo. -- Leroy Lawrence Reinagel, 80, of Kelso died early Friday morning, April 14, 2006, at Saint Francis Medical Center in Cape Girardeau.

He was born Aug. 17, 1925, in Kelso, son of William Martin and Regina J. Leible Reinagel. He and Bernice Cecilia Glastetter were married April 2, 1945, at St. Lawrence Church in New Hamburg, Mo.

Leroy served in the U.S. Army during WWII. He was a self-employed building contractor most of his life. He and Bernice founded Kelso Supply Co. in 1974.

Survivors include his wife; a daughter, Roxanna (Gary) Ziegler of Kelso; four sons, Tom (Susan) Reinagel of Cape Girardeau; Allan (Barbara) Reinagel, Ray (Lisa) Reinagel, Kenneth Reinagel, all of Kelso.

Grandchildren include Brian (Kim) Ziegler of Kelso; Alan Ziegler of San Jose, Calif., Kristin (Tom) Preusser of St. Louis; Scott Reinagel, Joy (Dean) Livesay, both of Cape Girardeau; Barbara (Joey) Bernard of Scott City; Allan Wayne Reinagel II, Lindsay Reinagel, Lauren Reinagel, all of Kelso; Jacob Reinagel of New Hamburg.

Great-grandchildren include Anne Ziegler, Addie Ziegler, Ali Ziegler, all of Kelso; Alexander Preusser of St. Louis; Myriah Bernard Scott City; Hayden Reinagle, Skye Livesay of Cape Girardeau.

Leroy is also survived by his sister, Viola Gosche of Kelso, and brother Jim Reinagel of Cape Girardeau.

He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Alvina Gosche; two brothers, Linus Reinagel, Henry Reinagel; a grandson, Christopher John Reinagel.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. today at St. Augustine Church, Kelso; parish prayers will be at 7 p.m., followed by a prayer service by the Knights of Columbus Council 6420, Scott City.

Funeral Mass will be at 10 a.m. Monday, April 17, 2006, at St. Augustine Catholic Church, with Father Oliver Clavin presiding. Burial will be in the parish cemetery in Kelso.

The family requests in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to St. Augustine School Foundation in Kelso or Notre Dame Regional High School Foundation in Cape Girardeau.
