Sandrea Janette Smoot and Stephen Dixon were married Oct. 8, 2005, at New Bethel Baptist Church. Marco Greer of East St. Louis, Ill., performed the ceremony. Music was by Greta Matthews of Carbondale, Ill., aunt of the bride.

Parents of the couple are Charles and Sandra Smoot and Douglas and Angela Dixon, all of Cape Girardeau.

Maid of honor was Sanaria Alexander of Cape Girardeau, sister of the bride, and matron of honor was the bride's mother. Bridesmaids were Sanetta Smoot, sister of the bride, and Rashanne LaBruyere, both of Cape Girardeau.

Blake Tenkhoff of Cape Girardeau was best man. Groomsmen were Alex Martin and Justin Stone of Cape Girardeau. Ushers were Charles Smoot Jr., brother of the bride; Michael Dixon, brother of the groom; and Bradley LaBruyere, all of Cape Girardeau.

Candlelighters were Charles Smoot Jr. and Michael Dixon.

Flower girl was Kirsten Matthews, daughter of Greta Matthews and cousin of the bride. Ringbearer was Devin Abraham, son of Sanaria Alexander and nephew of the bride.

Sanaria Alexander attended the guest book.

The reception was held at the Knights of Columbus Hall. Servers were the women of Victory in Christ Christian Church.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Oct. 7 at New Bethel Baptist Church.

Mrs. Dixon is a 2003 graduate of Central High School, and is a student at Southeast Missouri State University. She is employed at Fred's in Jackson.

The groom is a 2005 graduate of Central High School, and is a student at Southeast. He is employed at Cape West 14 Cine.

The couple resides in Jackson.
