Central tops Mules, finishes 15-0

Kirk Lohmann shot a 1-under-par 69 at the Cape Country Club to help Central complete a perfect dual-meet season by beating rival Poplar Bluff 294-304 on Thursday.

Poplar Bluff gave the Tigers their only loss the past two seasons and topped the Tigers for the Class 4 District 1 championship on Monday.

For Central (15-0), Blake Driskell shot a 71, Zach Kluesner shot a 75 and Jack Connell shot a 79.

Logan MacDonald had the Mules top score with a 73.

The Tigers will meet Poplar Bluff and rest of the SEMO Conference on Tuesday at Dalhousie Golf Club.

Both teams will play in the state meet -- Poplar Bluff as the district champion and Central with four individual state qualifiers.
