The Essners have seven children, Anna Rose (Francis) Bles, Norman (Dottie) Essner, Marilyn (Randal) Friend, Robert (Karla) Essner, Jerome (Beverly) Essner, Shirley (Greg) Eftink, and Kevin (Laurie) Essner, all of Kelso.
The couple has 23 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
