From March to April, students at Eagle Ridge Christian School held a drive to collect change. In a campaign called "Change Changes Lives," classes competed to see which could raise the most money for the Humane Society of Southeast Missouri.

Teacher Beth Penfield's second-grade class won the competition between the preschool-to-grade-12 classes. They raised $165.94. The combined efforts of the entire school totaled $813.10 for the animals at the humane society. Posters and artwork made by the students for the campaign will be considered for future humane society projects.
