ADVANCE, Mo. -- Melola Ann Loughary, 89, of Advance died Tuesday, May 16, 2006, at Advance Nursing Center. She was born March 15, 1917, at Lowndes, Mo., daughter of Tom and Dovie Phillips Newell. She and Cecil Loughary were married in 1930. He died Jan. 23, 1973...

ADVANCE, Mo. -- Melola Ann Loughary, 89, of Advance died Tuesday, May 16, 2006, at Advance Nursing Center.

She was born March 15, 1917, at Lowndes, Mo., daughter of Tom and Dovie Phillips Newell. She and Cecil Loughary were married in 1930. He died Jan. 23, 1973.

Survivors include two sons, Herb Loughary of Advance, Don Loughary of Hillsboro, Mo.; three daughters, Lillian Deckman of Steadman, Mo., Carlene Jensen of Brownwood, Mo., Irma Estes of Advance; 11 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a daughter and four grandchildren.

The funeral will be at 11 a.m. today at Morgan Funeral Home, with the Rev. Don Loughary officiating. Burial will be in Brownwood Cemetery.
