Anna Laura Bishop and Clayton Lee Blankenship were married Oct. 8, 2005, at La Croix United Methodist Church. Rocky Tallent performed the ceremony. Pianist was Chris Nall of Cape Girardeau and violinist was Ben Goodier of Jackson. Vocalists were Gina Bishop of Laurel, Mont., sister-in-law of the bride, and Drake Douglas of Cape Girardeau.
Parents of the couple are Joe and Nancy Bishop of Jackson, and Brian and Laura Blankenship of Whitewater.
Maid of honor was Laura Puchbauer of Jackson. Bridesmaids were Molly Brown of Cape Girardeau, sister of the bride; Gina Bishop; and Chandra Mansfield of Cape Girardeau.
A.J. Begley of Delta was best man. Groomsmen were Austin Blankenship of Whitewater, brother of the groom; Ben Bishop of Laurel, brother of the bride; and Aaron Sanders of Kelso, Mo. Ushers were Justin Brown of Cape Girardeau, brother-in-law of the bride, and Drake Douglas.
Candlelighter was Josie Bishop of Jackson, sister of the bride.
Flower girls were Emma Bishop, niece of the bride, and Emma McDougal. Ringbearer was Caleb Bishop, nephew of the bride. Emma Bishop is the daughter of Molly Brown and Bryan West of Cape Girardeau. Emma McDougal is the daughter of Dr. Scott and Amanda McDougal of Jackson. Caleb is the son of Josie Bishop.
Sarah Fadler of Pocahontas attended the guest book.
A dinner and dance reception was held at the Elks Lodge. Servers were Paula Miller, cousin of the bride, and Jan Farrar.
The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner Oct. 7 at the church.
Mrs. Blankenship is a 2004 graduate of Jackson High School, and attended Mineral Area College. She is a pharmacy technician at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.
The groom is a 2003 graduate of Delta High School. He is a certified welder at ARI in Jackson.
The couple resides near Whitewater.
