Logan Davis, who just finished his freshman season at Notre Dame Regional High School, led the pack in the Ascension Day 5-kilometer run on Saturday at La Croix Church.

Davis finished in 18 minutes, 25.41 seconds.

Adela Sams led the women's division, finishing in 21:02.76.

LeGrand, Williams winhorseshoes tournament

Ron LeGrand and Martin Williams teamed up to win the Southeast Missouri Horseshoes Association tournament on Sunday at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Jackson.

LeGrand and Williams topped a field of 13 competitors.

Lachelle Cook and Melody Williams finished second, with Rose Kern and Cori Stoverink teaming up for a third-place finish.

The association's next event is this weekend at the Knights of Columbus Hall in Leopold, Mo.

Lutheran golf tourney crowns two teams

The team of David Gelsheimer, Von Priggel, Tom Fowler and Rick Pike won the championship flight in the morning session of the Lutheran Family and Children Services golf tournament on May 15 at Dalhousie Golf Club.

The team of Kerry Hoffman, Dave Reiminger, Rodney Miller and Kenny Waller won the championship flight in the afternoon.
