Imogene Phillips

ORAN, Mo. -- Imogene Veleta Phillips, 91, of Oran died Monday, June 5, 2006, at the Lutheran Home in Cape Girardeau.

She was born Dec. 26, 1914, at Grant City, Mo., daughter of Gilbert Silas and Jessie Abis Unsell Stacy. She and William Perry Phillips were married Oct. 21, 1950.

Phillips retired as a machine operator at Florsheim Shoe Co. in Chaffee, Mo.

Survivors include her husband; a son, Bob Burnett of Belleville, Mich.; five daughters, Gloma Hubbs of Texas, Betty Mirley, Mary Lizenbee and Sue Sallee of Chaffee, Judy Horton of Glen Carbon, Ill.; three brothers, J.B., Carl and Bob Stacy, all of Illinois; 18 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by a son, two brothers and a sister.

Friends may call at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Oran from 11 a.m. to service time today.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. today at the chapel, with the Rev. Ed Carter officiating. Burial will be in Friend Cemetery.
