Women's team places first in Big Kahuna tournament

The team of Ann Dombrowski, Alice Temm, Harriette Myers and Becky Unger emerged victorious from Saturday's Big Kahuna Tournament at Dalhousie Golf Club.

The winning score was 147, ahead of the 149 fired by the runner-up squad of Mark McDowell, Greg Howard, Ken Swinford and Ben Cantrell.

Two teams tied for third at 153. They featured Rob Erlbacher, David Hahs, Jim Rust and Mike Bennett on one team, with Eileen Owens, Terri Parmly, Deanna Estes and Jennifer Coad on the other.

There were four closest to the pin competitions, with Jim Rust winning twice, at No. 11 and No. 13. Jim Childress (No. 5) and Ken Asher (No. 8) were the other winners.
