I think I have an answer to the yard-sale problem that will be beneficial to both the city and the people having the sales. Why doesn't the city set up a designated area that everyone can use for yard sales? The city could charge a small fee. It would do away with the signs, cut down on pollution, save gasoline and, if by chance there where any small businesses around, might even help them. The city could even charge people to dispose of their unwanted items after the sales. That way everybody wins.
