Vesta Kerr

ANNA, Ill. -- Vesta Kerr, 84, of Anna died Wednesday, July 26, 2006, at Union County Nursing Home.

She was born Aug. 19, 1921, daughter of Roy S. and Alice Smith Vancil. She and Raymond "PeeWee" Kerr were married Sept. 23, 1943. He died Aug. 30, 1992.

Kerr worked several years at International Shoe Co. She was a member of Saratoga Methodist Church.

Survivors include a brother, Orval Vancil of Cape Girardeau; a sister, Berniece Hileman of Columbia, Ill.; three stepchildren, Doris Hansen, Bill Kerr and Jerry Kerr; several stepgrandchildren and great-stepgrandchildren.

She was preceded in death by two sisters and a brother.

Visitation will be from 11 a.m. to service time at Crain Funeral Home.

The funeral will be at 1 p.m. today at the funeral home, with the Rev. Joe Hankla officiating. Burial will be in Anna Cemetery.
