LAS VEGAS -- Mike Krzyzewski's version of summer school was back in session Monday.

With the start of the world championships only 20 days away and their first exhibition game this week, LeBron James, Dwyane Wade and the rest of the U.S. basketball team returned here for their second segment of training camp.

And they were going to see a different mentality from Krzyzewski.

For the Duke coach, the first part of camp was about getting to know his roster of NBA players. This time, it's about getting them ready to win games.

"We'll get much more detailed," he said last week. "We haven't put in a lot of sets yet, quick hitters, out-of-bounds situations. We'll get them more ready to play a game. ... We have to start doing more basketball stuff where we actually have to look like we know what we're doing."

The Americans will play Thursday night against Puerto Rico.

The teams were scheduled to scrimmage today.

The U.S. team reconvened without Adam Morrison, Luke Ridnour and Shawn Marion, who didn't make the 15-man roster that will travel to Asia for more training and exhibition games following this camp. Three more players will have to be dropped before the Americans submit their final 12-man roster before the start of the worlds.
