Karl Schoenebeck

Karl W. Schoenebeck, 91, of Jackson died Wednesday, Aug. 6, 2003, at Southeast Missouri Hospital in Cape Girardeau.

He was born May 16, 1912, in Wichita, Kan., son of Karl A. and Anna Schmidt Schoene-beck. He and Trula Mary Willa were married July 2, 1939.

Schoenebeck was a teacher many years in public schools, had been a truck driver, and farmed near Fruitland. He attended St. John's United Church of Christ near Fruitland.

Survivors include his wife; two sons, Roland Schoenebeck of Jackson, Roy Schoenebeck of Mehlville, Mo.; three grandchildren; a stepgrandchild; and a great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by a brother.

Friends may call from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.

The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home, with the Rev. Sam Roethemeyer officiating. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
