POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. -- Ralph Edward McNab, 58, of Poplar Bluff died unexpectedly Thursday, July 27, 2006, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center. He was born Aug. 23, 1947, in St. Louis. POPLAR BLUFF, Mo. -- Ralph Edward McNab, 58, of Poplar Bluff died unexpectedly Thursday, July 27, 2006, at Poplar Bluff Regional Medical Center.

He was born Aug. 23, 1947, in St. Louis.

He was a graduate of Southeast Missouri State University in Cape Girardeau with a bachelor of science degree in education. He lived in Cape Girardeau from 1967 to 1971 and had also lived in Abingdon, Va., and Pensacola, Fla.

McNab was a material planner with Nordyn Industries. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, a Sunday school teacher and elder, a director for the Youth Soccer Association and vice president of Grace Lutheran Church in Pensacola.

He and Darlene Lewis were married Aug. 24, 1968, in Ellisville, Mo.

Survivors include his wife; a son, Todd McNab of Naperville, Ill.; a daughter, Amy McNab of Poplar Bluff; and two granddaughters.

The funeral was held July 31 at St. Paul Lutheran Church in St. Louis, with Marty Reed officiating. Burial was in St. John's Cemetery in St. Louis.
