Marjorie Marie Chronister, 74, of Dallas, Texas, died Thursday, Aug. 17, 2006, at Heritage Manor Health Care in Plano, Texas.

She was born Dec. 29, 1931, in Cape Girardeau, daughter of John and Earmel Irene Hartle Schlenker. She and William Edward Chronister were married April 30, 1954, in St. Louis.

Chronister was a manufacturer representative in the apparel industry.

Survivors include her husband; a son, William Chronister of Dallas; a daughter, Lisa Chronister of Austin, Texas; a brother, Albert Schlenker of Scott City; a sister, Ada Jane Davis of Scott City; two grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by her parents, four brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be from 1 p.m. to service time Sunday at Amick-Burnett Funeral Chapel in Scott City.

The funeral will be at 3 p.m. Sunday at the chapel, with the Rev. Randy Morse officiating. Burial will be in Cape County Memorial Park in Cape Girardeau.
