Three-way tie in play of the day

Harriet Drusch, Margaret Sanders and Lillian Schneider tied for the championship flight in the play of the day at Kimbeland Country Club's Ladies Golf Association action on Thursday.

The play of the day was low putts.

Dixie Jones won the A flight, and Jackie Anderson topped the B flight.

Vicki Long was the day's medalist.

Football registration set for today in Jackson

The Jackson Area Youth Football league will conduct registraton for the fall league from 8 a.m. to noon today at the football complex at Highway 72 and Farmington Road.

The league is for children entering grades 2 to 7.

Bicycle ride scheduled for Sunday morning

The Cape Bicycle and Fitness Express Scripts MS 150 Bike Tour Training Ride will take place 8 a.m. Sunday beginning at Robert A. Dempster Hall parking lot on the campus of Southeast Missouri State University.

The ride is a prep for the fundraising ride scheduled for Sept. 9 and 10.
