Roger Andrew Smith, 42, of Jackson died Friday, Aug. 25, 2006, at his home. Smith was born to Drs. Charles and Janet Bass Smith on March 11, 1964, in Montclair, N.J. He was a 1982 graduate of Jackson High School and then attended Southeast Missouri State University and Western Kentucky State University...

Roger Andrew Smith, 42, of Jackson died Friday, Aug. 25, 2006, at his home.

Smith was born to Drs. Charles and Janet Bass Smith on March 11, 1964, in Montclair, N.J. He was a 1982 graduate of Jackson High School and then attended Southeast Missouri State University and Western Kentucky State University.

Loving survivors include his son, Timothy Smith of Jackson; his parents, Drs. Charles and Janet Bass Smith of Bowling Green, Ky.; three brothers, Dr. Randall Smith of Kirksville, Mo., Bradley Smith of Jackson, Bryan Smith of St. Louis; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call today, Aug. 27, from 4 to 7 p.m., at McCombs Funeral Home in Jackson.

Funeral service will be today at 7 p.m. at the funeral home, with James Hicks, longtime family friend, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials for Timothy's college education. Please memo checks for Tim Smith education, and make payable to his guardian, Dr. Randall A. Smith, 603 Fairview Drive, Kirksville, Mo. 63501.
