Erica Laine McQuay and Fred Ludwig Schaefer III were married May 27, 2006, at Chapel on Hill in Albany, Ore. Jack Glubrecht performed the ceremony. Vocalists were Andrea Penland of Ozark, Mo., and Shelly Stover of Davenport, Iowa.

The bride is the daughter of Scott and Brenda McQuay of Cape Girardeau. The groom is the son of Fred and Sylvia Schaefer Jr. of Castro Valley, Calif.

Matron of honor was Lynn Harper of Kernersville, N.C. Bridesmaids were Angie Schwab of Jackson and Trina Lee of Salem, Ore.

Joshua Wentlandt of El Segundo, Calif., was best man. Groomsmen were Brian Kriegler of Sherman Oaks, Calif., and Christopher Scott of Thousand Oaks, Calif. Ushers were Ryan and Christopher McQuay of Jackson, brothers of the bride.

Linda Barfield, aunt of the bride, attended the guest book.

The reception was held at Chapel on Hill. Servers were Jane Sawai, aunt of the groom, and Sydney Schaefer, sister of the groom.

The groom's parents hosted the rehearsal dinner at Novak's Hungarian Restaurant in Albany.

Mrs. Schaefer received a bachelor of science in chemistry from Southeast Missouri State University, and a master of science in oceanography from Oregon State University. She is an environmental chemist at AMEC Earth and Environmental in Tigard, Ore.

The groom received a bachelor of science in mathematics from Harvey Mudd University, and a master of science in statistics from Oregon State University. He is a credit risk analyst at HSBC in Tigard.

After a wedding trip to Kauai, Hawaii, the couple resides in Tigard.
