Martin Winschel

Martin Eldred Winschel, 53, died Friday, Aug. 8, 2003, at Perry County Hospital in Perryville, Mo.

He was born in Perryville to the late Ludwig and Flora Meyer Winschel. He married Elaine Besand on Nov. 30, 1974.

Survivors include his wife; three sons, Gregory Winschel of Frohna, Mo., Neil and Bradley Winschel of the home; daughters Anastacia, Kimberly, Gwendolyn and Stephanie Winschel, all of the home; brother Glennon Winschel of Perryville; sisters Louise Ann Walters of St. Louis, Mo., and Carolyn Winschel of Murphysboro, Ill.; and two grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by one brother.

He was a lifelong member and former president of the St. Joseph's Mens Club.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m., today at the Miller Family Funeral Home Chapel. A wake service will be held at 7 p.m.

Visitation will be held again Monday from 6:30 to 9:15 a.m., followed by a 10 a.m. Mass at St. Joseph's Apple Creek. The Rev. Dattilo will preside at the service. Burial will be at the church cemetery.
